suHa jewelry is born from materials that breath. Living materials in their natural state in forests and oceans seem non-conforming in spirit and form but as they are shaved and polished with loving hands, they reveal a natural beauty that transcends the realm of time and tells the story of the circle of life. suHa was inspired by the idea of taking these comforting yet intriguing products of Mother Nature and wearing them as jewelry to bring people closer to the breathing of the plants and animals that we share this beautiful planet with. suHa showcases design that uncovers the hidden beauty of natural materials and the intricate handwork of Japanese craftsmen to create jewelry with a warm and undeniable power like wearing a piece of life

The material selection process starts with the designer visiting the foraging site to find and touch the materials in their raw unfiltered state. Through years of traveling in Japan, we have learned so much from the people who have built their lives in harmony with local materials and this knowledge lies at the heart of suHa’s creative process.
