今年も真珠のネックレスのリモデルを承ります。〈 su Ha 〉の厳選した血赤枝珊瑚をあしらったデザインに加えて、六色に絹糸を染め分けたオールノットでのお仕立てをご紹介します。

友禅彩色に使われる透明感のある染料により、結び目ひとつひとつに丁寧に色を差していきます。絹糸の艶を生かした染め色が、真珠の干渉色と調和して、遊び心がありながらも上品な印象に仕上がります。

This summer, We are offering custom orders with a hand-knotted finish using silk threads dyed in six distinct colors, in addition to a design featuring a red coral motif.

“Rose twig” Red coral stud earring / single

Red coral is a biomineral formed through biomineralization, a process in which living organisms produce minerals.
Red coral grows in a tree-like shape with spreading branches to capture the calcium and bicarbonate ions in seawater needed for this process.
Until the mid-20th century, its beautiful, deep red color was thought to be due to iron complexes, but it is now known to come from the carotenoid pigment canthaxanthin.
Carotenoids are pigments found not only in plants such as tomatoes and carrots, but also in animals like flamingos and spiny lobsters.

赤珊瑚は、生物が鉱物を作り出すバイオミネラリゼーションによって生成される生体鉱物です。赤珊瑚はこの過程に必要な海水中のカルシウムイオンと重炭酸イオンを捉えようと、大きく枝を張って樹木状に成長します。
美しく深みのある赤色は、20世紀中頃までは鉄の錯塩によると考えられていましたが、現在ではカロテノイド色素のカンタキサンチンであることが分かっています。 カロテノイドは、トマトやニンジンなどの植物に加え、フラミンゴや伊勢海老といった動物にも広く存在する色素です。

山桜はきめの細かい木肌と温かみのある色合いから優しい印象がありますが、こちらの山桜はかなり癖の強いタイプ。緑がかった褐色の筋を取り込んで、ゼブラ柄のようなワイルドな印象に仕上げました。山桜ならではの飴色へと深まるにつれ、上品なコントラストに変化していきます。
